Questions we have asked the masjid

The old website asked people for their home address without explaining any of this. We would rather answer the questions first:

  • Is there a subscription, and how much?
  • What exactly does membership entitle you to?
  • Who is eligible — is there a minimum age, or a local area?
  • Do members vote at the AGM?
  • What happens after the form is sent?

Why we ask for your address. Membership records are kept by the masjid so the committee knows who the congregation is and can write to members about decisions that affect them. Your details are not sold, not shared with anyone outside the masjid, and not used for anything else.

You do not need to be a member to pray here, enrol a child in the madrassah, use the welfare service or ask for help with a funeral. Membership changes none of that.
