About the Masjid
A pillar of faith in the heart of Bolton
Makkah Masjid is a place of worship, spiritual reflection and community gathering. Our doors are open to everyone — whether you have come to pray, to learn, or simply to find a moment of peace.
Alongside the five daily prayers we run a madrassah for children, adult courses in the Islamic sciences, a youth club, and support for families at the hardest moments of their lives.

Contact usYes, always. Visitors are genuinely welcome — come to an open day, or call ahead and we'll arrange someone to show you round and answer anything you'd like to ask.
Yes. There is a dedicated women's prayer area with its own entrance and wudu facilities, open for all five daily prayers and for Jumu'ah.
Send an enquiry through the madrassah page or call the office. We'll talk you through the levels, the timings and what your child needs to bring. Madrassah places are free.
Call 01204 524200 straight away, at any hour. We will guide you through ghusl, kafan and janazah, and help with the paperwork and the burial arrangements.
Yes — for nikah ceremonies, community meetings, seminars and similar gatherings. Send us an enquiry with your date and numbers and we'll come back to you.
